Are you sure? I think I remember a conversation about ratchet straps not working and someone offering to go..........I do get confused a lot though.

This was as far as I got for the day. Went and picked up eight M8x1.25 bolts so I can weld them to the flat bar, making install easy and I also notched the hinges for solo install. Without doing this it would be impossible alone.

    Lessons learned:
    1. Whoever said “just remove the kick panel and unplug the wires. It’s soooooo easy.” Is a goddamn fucking liar. I haven’t been that frustrated in awhile trying to unplug and reconnect the wires.
    2. There are two connectors to the door, and they’re taped together. Cutting the tape and allowing each one to move independently is what ultimately let me reconnect them...after fighting them for 10 minutes.
    3. I’ll need to find something to plug this hole when wheeling. That’s where the wires feed into the truck.
    4. Use wider bar stock next time. I have 1.5” and 2” or 2.5” would be better.

I'm fairly certain you can buy body plugs at parts stores.

Thanks! I’m gonna measure it later on and try and find something. Worst case I’ll buy a factory rubber tube wire grommet thing and hack it up.

Heck no, I have a 2015 Subaru Legacy for that.

Joe don't you know this is a "Budget" build....:rofl::rofl:

You could probably get one of those black plugs that cover the grommets on the undercarriage.

So I custom cut my hinge plates to follow fender contour and wait for you to post what size rubber grommet you got to fill the whole.

I’m mildly confused as to what you’re saying right now. All I gathered is you wanna know what grommet I find to fill the hole.

Because half of the dialogue was in my head. If I cut the contour and put a lip on it similar to what the door has it would cut down on the gunk.
