    Either reverse sear or grill...

Reverse sear - smoke at 225* until internal of 110-115* then sear over blazing hot coals to crust it up. Only about 1 min a side.

Grill - get one side of grill as hot as can be and the other side off or coals away. Sear one minute, rotate at angle, one minute longer for cross hatch. Flip over and repeat. Move over to cool side and cook til IT of 115. Let rest 10 mins.

    This for med rare.

For prep, rub with a light coat of olive oil, season with salt, pepper, garlic.

    Easy method. Great results

    Sounds great! Thank you!

I've tried searing in the past but have never been successful. Don't have coals either; I'm using a natural gas grill.

I was dead set on the Falkens but ended up with a set of Nittos and the rest is history.

Interested to hear your review of the tires!

How many burner? Upper rack? Just leave one side or burner off or put on top rack to get off of heat after searing. Use a temp pen too until you get the feel. And definitely let it rest a few minutes. And post pics :D

So far they’re quiet on the highway and ride great, of course they’re brand new but so far so good. They’re actually a little more aggressive in person compared to what I seen in online pictures.

Had the terra graps, great on road, great in snow & rain. Not so much in mud, they weren’t terrible in mud but they weren’t exactly a mud tire either-Overall they were good tires.

Honestly this is my 4th tacoma.. all the prior trucks were off roaded pretty hard.. I’ve got a good feel for what the trucks can do off road by now so mine normally stays on the pavement now lol :anonymous:
You should consider the falkens.. great middle ground between m/t & a/t!

The Terra Graps are kind of weak sauce I feel. Ridge Grapplers are a little more aggressive and they highway well.
