I just hope it doesn’t make it up to the High Uintas...

It’ll be like the Yellowstone fire way back when, only this time it’ll be on cocaine

These fires are a product of our own doing, since for the last couple of decades we've decided that we know better and need to suppress them. A certain element in society rather watch timber get wrecked by bark beetles and fire vs. harvesting it.

Bark beetles are what killed the Ashley. You know it’s a problem when you spend more time balancing on deadfall than walking on the ground. The forest floors in New Mexico are much more cleaner and more user friendly.

This things kinda nifty needs some finish work, and a new bumper, but it’s still pretty cool.

Haha - same on the wax thing!

My '95 got a full Rustoleum flat black primer coat (or 2)... then these kids asked me if I plasti-dipped it. Was all the rage in Colorado 4-5 years ago, I noticed after the fact.

Problem with flat black, no one can see you when you turn across their path at night, especially in Tacos with no side lights or shiny parts.

I lived in Kamas summer 1995, volunteered & built trails with the FS. Truth was - we followed the mosquito hatch all the way up the mountains - seriously miserable mornings & evenings.

Cruiser doesnt squeak anymore. Pretty easy brake job, had I known it was untouched I would have bought new calipers or at the least new guide pins and bushings but oh well I got them moving well enough to make it another 180k I think. Even made my own brake piston compressor out of an axle shim and a bolt. Stops really nicely right now.
