Yup... The LEDs are brighter. But the differentiator for me was the fact that the LEDs don't get warm enough to melt off any wintry mix. (Or so I have read).

A couple things, first is that those are halogen bowls so you’re comparing apples to oranges since you have projectors. I *think* that LEDs are shorter and more similar to halogen bulbs size to better take advantage of the optics in the halogen headlight.

The other is that you can see WAYYYY more glare coming from the LED bulb. They’re both throwing light all over the place but the led appears worse.

IMO it’s not a good representation at all of how they’ll perform in your headlights.

I had LED headlights on my JK in Colorado and never had an issue.

That makes sense. There is another video I just happen to click on that was actually a 3rd gen Tacoma that did a comparison. You could tell the HID was a little brighter, but the LED was a cleaner cutoff line.

 

My understanding is he burned a lot of relationships like that.......not gonna say any names but there used to be a great white lurking in these parts but not anymore
