Years ago a buddy of mine had his suburban stolen..... it disappeared for a week or so then the cops arrested some dude stealing the running boards off of it after it had been abandoned..... went with him to retrieve it in Cabrini-Green (cue in elvis "in the ghettto")..... thing had 4 different bald tires, broken window, old newspapers, mcdonalds wrappers, misc clothes, and a pink bra.... can you imagine the guy didn't leave any crack rocks behind!?. insurance did not total it, unfortunately.... it was absolutely nauseating to be inside the vehicle.....and to think some scumbag called that his home.... glad it worked out for you in the end...Good luck with your new ride....

FWIW - USAA was very very easy and fair to deal with. They gave me more for the truck that what i paid for it 2 years ago. They also covered the kids carseats and all my stuff i had in the back. If anyone is looking to change insurance companies and qualifies to use USAA i would highly recommend them.

I hate to hear that about your buddy. It's a shitty experience for sure. I hope the new truck turns out to be as good as the old one!!
