So i went to the stealership today to get a clunking sound when i hit minor bumps looked at and a whinning noise from the engine looked at. the bad news is that to replace the lca bushings its going to cost well over 1100 my question is on the quote they have a complete front end alignment which is costing over 200 is the alignment nessesary . i know sometimes they add that shit in the quote when its not needed cause the mechanic can get around it sometimes. and does anyone know where i can get these parts online i have been searching with no luck.

    thanks

P.S. if anyone was wondering the whinning sound is the idler pulley bearing going bad.

yes alignment will be necessary, since they will be taking your front suspension apart

Yes, it's necessary, but $200 for an alignment??? That's 3-4X more than it should cost, or rather, what I would pay at a tire/alignment shop here.

my truck is a 2005 ... i just brought my truck to my buddy he's a mechanic, for a second opinion and he said the noise is the frame flexing not lca bushings, i felt the front crossmember as we raised and lowered the vehicle several times we can feel the clicking there and not at the control arms WTF. I also called around and an alignment at a local shop is roughly 80-100
