Mine is 10ga wire through the Bluesea which has a 100a breaker in front of it. I think I have a 35a fuse on it. No issues.

My fridge is not directly wired. I have a 12V plug in my bed that is run to a blue sea fuse block that I plug the fridge into when I am on a trip. Use appropriately sized wire and fuse for the load and you should be fine either way. For my fridge the manual specified a specific fuse size to be used to be sure it doesnt pop on start up of the compressor, but also provides adequate protection.

You may want to look into your individual circuit fuse size. I believe the blue sea boxes are only rated for 30A per circuit so a larger fuse could potentially allow damage to the fuse block. Also I dont know what fridge you have but the fuse sounds large to me. I believe my ARB specifically calls for a 15A fuse if I recall correctly.

Damnit now you made me go look. :D I have a 30a fuse in there. Not a 35a. I am fusing the entire power connection point not just the fridge. The fridge has a 15a fuse in it but the power point has the fridge plug, USB's, and a volt gauge in it. Each device in the power connection point has a 10a fuse inline at the connection point side and then my 30a fuse up at the Blue Sea.

I used to go up there to go paintballing and such and camp the night before.

our camping spot turned into a Medevac landing zone for flight for life. I remember fire fighter waking us up telling us we might want to move since they have a helicopter inbound. landing to pick up some who was drunk and rolled his Cherokee.

Quick question. I am planning on going hiking tomorrow, most likely to Red Deer Lake. I was planning on heading in at Buchanan Pass Trail head off of the Middle St Vrain 4WD Road. Does anyone know the conditions of that road? I am going to head in solo, would i have trouble making it to the trail head in my stock TRD off road?

If you're an experienced 4wheeler you might have a little issue with a stock truck. It is possible with small risks for body damage to the rockers. If you're not trail savy you might leave it in the parking lot.

Thanks for the info, I have relentless sliders and have decent experience, enough to know that doesn't sound like a trail to do alone. I might bypass that trail and save it for another day.

I’m trail hunting also; looking for a moderate/challenging trail in the Silverton/Ouray/Durango AO that can be done in less than 6 hrs.

My truck is pretty well built (full skids/sliders/front bumper/recovery gear), and I’m comfortable behind the wheel.

So back in November the ADD actuator on my front diff failed. Easy to replace and only cost bout $300. This weekend I figured out that my t case actuator has now failed. This one is at least double the cost of the other one. Both were due to water intrusion and corrosion.
I’ve decided to swap in an FJ manual shift t case to slowly rid my truck of this electronic 4wd bullshit.
Note: The truck had more than 200k miles on it before the actuators failed. If anyone is getting up there in mileage I would recommend inspecting your actuators. You can open them up clean the contacts and regrease.
