I was craving a schnitzel sammich so I started throwing things together as I remember, it was then I realized I didn't make them before...my German girlfriend did them back in 1984-85. I got it close, just not close enough.

It cooled down to 105 so I trimmed, edged and mowed the front yard. So it's pretty close to done. Now I can switch to the backyard...mow grass and dog crap.

I like it. You know how it is right now here though. Can ride early in the morning or late in the evening, so not getting much riding in. But that’s OK. With my job, I didn’t figure to get much in anyway. Why I bought a 5 grand bike instead of a 15 grand bike.
    But I do like it.

I hear ya. I got this to learn on anyway, figure I’d better learn dirt BEFORE I actually have time, cause when I have time, It’s gonna be a pain to learn due to age.
Still, hoping to get some interesting trips in.

Get it while you can. I rode dirt most of my life but now it hurts too much. It's very strenuous and takes a lot of body parts that work. But it's also a lot of fun. We did a lot of day rides that are akin to what's known as adventure riding now. Cow trailing, logging roads, skid trails. Went back and forth between Hwy 101 and Hwy 1 in the Ft.Bragg and Mendocino area down to Booneville plus a ton in the Mendocino National Forest and everything in between.

When selling firearms including long guns between private individuals across State lines you have to go through NICS.

The National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) is a central database managed by the FBI to match those who are not eligible to buy. It was mandated by the Brady Handgun Violence Prevention Act (Brady Law) of 1993 and implemented in 1998.

You have to go through a Federal Firearms License (FFL) holder and the holder of the FFL does the background check on you, usually on the phone. If a determination is not obtained within three business days then the transfer may legally be completed.

And I clearly heard the nice FBI lady on the speaker phone say if you do not hear back from us by July 10 then you may proceed. Well today is July 3. I may have learned math with a slide rule instead of some funky government calculator but I count that as 7 days, 1 full week. Of being denied of something that I paid more than $1K for. But they sold NICS as only keeping you from purchasing a long gun for up to 3 days at the most.

They won't call back. They never do.

And thats all I gots to say about that....

    Evening Everyone !!! :hattip:

Just now getting home from helping my friend build his 40' x 60' Quonset hut garage . if your familiar with a Quonset hut and it's design there's a lot of panels to assemble . Took us almost 7 hrs to build out 15 sections or ribs and ea of these sections consisted of 7 panels

Ea of these panels bolt together using 12 bolts and 7 panels to make rib . We only we're able to build out 22 Ribs and still 15 more to do for tomorrow . it was way to windy to hang these rib sections so all we did was build them

I'm so friggin tired from the strenuous work and being 95° didn't help and I'm also dehydrated . Heading to bed in a few so I can get up early tomorrow to head back over to my friends house to finish up the 15 last rib sections

Not using an impact yet !!!
Rib sections we built out , all bolts are finger tight as per the assembly instructions . this way once bolted to the bldg it will stay square

Also it's just five of us Only building this Quonset hut so it's taking longer than we thought

Those things last a whole lotta years but they are pretty labor and time intensive.
