IIRC the taco box is well known to leak... have you researched leaking marlin taco box?

Yes and it’s sorts of complicated why it’s happening, I’m waiting for them to tell me if it’s fixable, or if I need to send it to them. I’m so annoyed I’m thinking of just ordering an atlas 2 speed if I can come up with the money or a four speed and be down with this crap. From what I undertand they are built like tanks

yea I hear you, really tough going from tinted glass to a fish bowl

I highly suggest considering the fully NYS legal 70% tint on both front doors AND the windshield...

it basically does not look as if there was any tinted film on the glass, however it does cut the UV by like 90+%

carbon ceramic is one option yes, but keep in mind not the only option...

here is a link showing some of the different specs on different tint products

Thanks, Cool! I'm saving that page for future reference!

Last year I was looking up getting tint on my windows, and I couldn't actually find info of, when 70% tint would be installed on standard glass--like in our Tacomas- how much more 'resistance' would it add up to.
I know it seems like I'm splitting hair here, but all we need is one tech taking his/her jub a bit too seriously, measuring light transmission and failing inspection because of 68%, lol

i would put money on most people not even realizing there is film on the glass if it is a 70% or > %
I have had it in the past on a previous car and nobody ever believed me until either I pointed out the edge of the film or you literally looked side by side on a car with nothing on the glass and a car with 70% on the glass

hello guys. Im looking to get my bpf skid plate sandblasted and powder coated again. The salt and the harsh winter here in ny have rusted the plate. Does anybody have a lead where i can take the skid plate to get it sandblast? I was thinking of getting it linex instead of powder coated. Anybody know? Thanks

The crawl box was installed differently then it should have been. Instead of putting the shifter directly into the reduction box along with a boot and oil slinger the shifter was modified to sit on top to the transfer case. From their a fabricated 180 degree piece of metal runs along top to the reduction box. On top of the reduction box they put a breather on top of the cap and made a hole in the top cap to run the lever into the box65B5F5A3-DBCE-42FC-83FE-2E943C0C6158.jpg2C03A3EA-D91B-410B-946A-007F3C57C409.jpg 274E5EAD-3005-4374-96DB-C5ECA8E2F520.jpg274E5EAD-3005-4374-96DB-C5ECA8E2F520.jpg 52A51BC2-7E43-47AB-80A3-63F7A11FD1D6.jpg1DD7E9CD-3970-4764-848B-BEDEE0B5C456.jpg 374C56B3-07CB-4E20-95DE-C9CE58E06AC8.jpg374C56B3-07CB-4E20-95DE-C9CE58E06AC8.jpg C8AAA615-A48D-4D98-A757-CC1CED4F9D6E.jpg

check over on Craigslist under Services, there are a bunch of adds with people offering media blasting services.
I am a bit confused here, is Leaking the only problem you are having?
have you tried searching on iHmud or ttora??

See we’re the beginning of the tape measure starts this is where the correct shift leaver should be coming out of the reduction box.

Truck is being flat bedded to the body shop today as my floor pan from the passenger side body mount to the rear driveshaft were it connects to rhthe transfer case has to be replaced.

I’ve searched a bunch of forums but only posted here. I spoke to a few cats who have installed them at home but unfortunately they were either unable to give me some ideas or lived way to far away to look at it
