When I was there (79-81) there was Malborne Bros. hog farm on the way into the base so all you could smell was pig shit. I guess it's now part of NAS Oceana. The club at Fort Story used to have strippers on Fridays, we even booked a couple bachelor parties there. I'm sure that's not going on anymore.

 Yeah, no more strippers there. I worked security there for a little bit and now it's just all tourists going to see the lighthouse.

Acid washed and drying in prep for paint in the morning. They look terrible at this point.cv7XKo-iIbgEIrgoA92fWqFw6hptD_hPc-vhu_XX_a031523310ee93d536545f11d75f33b8b797ffe1.jpg

I think you and I both need the small harbor freight welding table. I just weld on the ground on my driveway

The first thing a welder should make is a table to weld on.

For ~$80 those little tables are actually pretty nice. I plan on getting something eventually but all play money is going towards parts. Actually ordered a long spline driveline kit yesterday which should be the last piece to the immediate puzzle!

Today they have a 25% off coupon making it $52, just saying :boink:

I would pick one up if I didn't just drop $160 on 3 new u joints and a center support bearing

After all my recent expenses and vacation I’m going to have to hold off. I did just buy kbvoodoo bed rail caps and tailgate cap second hand though. Cleaning beach off the truck and sweating like a whore in church

My first aluminum project. It’s a 4x4 diffusion frame for work. We skin these frames with diffusion or a color tinted plastic so that we can light through them and give a diffused light effect or a colored light effect. I have to make 9 more. Very easy. These sell for around $85-$100 a piece. Would cost me $900 on the low end after taxes. All materials cost me $234. So I’m definitely saving a lot of money making them myself

Anybody use benchmark abrasives for cut off wheels and flap wheels? Time to get some more and they a little cheaper than the company I go to in town. (Cti industrial equipment)
