Looks like something from the cam assembly that returns the turn signal stalk but I can't imagine how it would escape if he didn't pull any if that off

Good place to start... Wonder if it worked it's way loose. What about tilt lever? I'm just guessing here - never took it apart and don't plan on it

Don't worry about it, I took my whole dash assembly apart a few times and don't recall anything like that. Even my airbox didn't have anything like that

All the more reason to figure out what in the hell it's function is. If not the dash then definitely from the column or steering wheel assembly somewhere... I wouldn't be able to sleep until I figured it out hahaha

I think I figured it out. Is there a button in the connector for the ait bag? Because my airbags light is on.

I think that is the captive door to make sure the connectors cannot pop apart

Sorry, just got in from mowing lawn, and see all this commotion. Sorry, I have no clue, perhaps what speedtech says. GL

I cant seem to find where this would be (dont mind the screw thats from something else)
Unless its from behind the cover for the airbag on the wheel

Is it my imagination, or does it seem that the four spots on either side of the metal pin look like they are broken off of something else?

Thought it might have been broken somewhere in the past, and just fell out due to being jostled about. Check around that air bag plug/connection, both parts.
