    Leveling kit from previous owner
    Hi there,

Just joined the forum here today to ask some more qualified and experienced people some questions.

I bought my Tacoma second hand back in April of 2017 through a dealership. It was my first time buying a car ever, since my first one was a 1996 4Runner I bought off my step-dad for a solid deal back in 2012 when I turned 16. Sadly it started getting away from me in terms of repairs, so I sold it to a mechanic who immediately fixed everything himself and has it running again as good as ever. I fell in love with Toyota after my 4Runner and it's winter and off-road capabilities, and have always wanted a Tacoma since I was a kid. I'm hoping to start some light upgrading now to get it ready for some trail driving and exploring, but since I bought it I've put 45 000 km (~28 000 miles) on it commuting long distance between Eastern Canada and Ontario, and now need new tires. According to my friend he thinks there's a leveling kit in my Tacoma from the previous owner, but I've never had it confirmed.

I'm not incredibly knowledgeable so feel free to correct me on terms and anything I say wrong. (And if I'm using the forum wrong.)

I'm looking for good all terrain tires like KO2s to replace the current General Grabber AT2's on it now, and have a price range of up to about $1000 (CAD) for them. They're 265/70R16's currently. Looking for something with some aggressive tread, and the potential for a lift and/or spacers.

Anything helps really! So feel free to shoot me any suggestions on everything from sizes and brands, to where to order them from and to!

    Thanks everyone!

    Welcome!

Check out the wheels and tires section. There is a ton of info in there. https://www.tacomaworld.com/forums/wheels-tires.15/

You can up to 265/75/16 without a lift.

You should also post pics of your truck and post some of your suspension so people here can confirm whether a level or lift was installed or not.

Thanks! That's a good idea, I'll post a picture of it later today. Right now I'm looking at a set of MotoMaster A/T3 Tires since they're on a special 25% off discount at Canadian Tire
