nearly 8k miles on my set of 35/12.5/18 and they aren't even to the first small stepdown on the center treadblocks. I'm really looking forward to 50k+ miles out of these.

Wow !!! First test I’ve passed in years !! Lmao you will love these tires. I have a set of Trail grapplers on my jeep, they have 57k and still have good tread . Rotate every 3k and your gold :).

Currently running 295/70/17’s on my Tacoma. Quiet on road and very capable off road .

I currently have Cooper STT Pro's in 285/75r16 but they're going back to Discount for several reasons. I was going to get 285/75r16 Trail Grapplers but I think y'all have swayed me to the Ridge Grapplers. I looked @ them a few months ago when I bought the STT's but they weren't available in 16". Looks like I might be the guinea pig on the 16" RG's! I think their weight they have listed is a misprint, as it seems really high & they've misprinted weights before.
We get no snow here, very little ice, not much rain. I don't care to get in the mud but I do like some rock crawling.
ANY reason I shouldn't go w/the RG over the Trail G?

You just listed all the reasons my Jeep has the Trail Grapplers!
Honestly would have gone with Trail grapplers on Tacoma if my preferred offroad needs were rock crawling.

I’m sure either will do great for you, but for Rocks I’d go Trail Grappling

I decided a meaty A/T tire should suit my needs. I had great luck with Toyo AT II, probably should've gone back with those, but I wanted a little more aggressive tire so I just ordered the RG in 285/75r16. They just recently came out with them in this size so I haven't seen anybody else with them. I'll try to get pics when they're swapping out the Cooper STT's for comparison in size.

Full trd pro suspension. Toytec progressive add-a-leaf pack (with overload in). Sema trd 4runner rims. 285 70 17 ridge grapplers. Satoshi grill.
Was about to pull trigger on LT285 70 17 C rated grapplers and noticed they now list a 285 70 17 that's not a LT and weighs 9lbs less than the C rated. Tread depth is 3/32 less but same overall diameter. I believe the 9lbs will make a big difference in power/mileage. Not sure how noticeable 3/32 of tread depth would be. What do you all think??

Curious on your opinion since the NRGs are significantly heavier in the same size than other tired.

I'm loving them! I notice no power difference between them and the STT Pros I changed from. Did a 2,670 mile road trip with them and they did awesome. I used them at a NC beach with super soft, unpacked sand and they kicked ass. Zero regrets on these tires.

This is definitely my next set of tires. 285/75/16 is only E rated correct?

I think it was called Freeman? I believe it's the southernmost NC beach that you can drive on (we were actually visiting SC but I wanted a drive-on beach).

    Correct.

Not that I've noticed from the other set of 33's I had.

Yeah you’re a second gen. It started bad haha.

I fell from 22~ to 16.5~ when I went to 33s in my third gen. Figured the extra weight would make it even worse. I’ll stay tuned.
