It's not for highway power but mobbing in dirt power and up hills in 4wd and shit. You have to give up on 80mph cruising yes but it's worth it the rest if the time. You'd regret 4.88s I think. The low torque is so worth it.

If I was an east coaster and didn't go to different states to wheel maybe 5.29s would be right for me. I need to go 80 and above to if I'm gonna travel to other places. But my complaints have always been about highway power and keeping speed on the road. Offroad I have had zero complaints, I use low a lot but that's what it is for and I can use high for anything that isn't a huge hill climb usually. 5.29 just would put me so high in the rev range for everything I think it would be too much unless I had 37s. Keep in mind my 4cyl manual ratios are biased to keeping me in higher RPM anyway. It's weird thinking I don't need more ratio for once but I really gained a huge load of power and drivability with the supercharger. I don't wanna be at 4.5k passing someone in 4th then go to lower my RPM in 5th and only be at 3.75k. I'd go deaf and numb, I'd need a 400W amp for my CB and HAM (in the works) to hear you guys over the whining bees nest in my engine bay.

Well it'll work either way haha or you'll drive Frank and go...damn it. I wish I had that much oomph...or damn it...fucker is screaming all the time thank God I didn't haha

Looks better on a 1st Gen then any of the others. Over hang is perfect with the ext cab

Not really, but need to push it on a faster dirt road. I did go around a 30 degree off camber corner and it felt the same as it always has.

Planning on visiting Teton national park tomorrow. Plan as of now is to hike taggart lake loop. Thinking about hitting up Yellowstone on Friday/Saturday. Is that a stupid idea considering it's 4th of July weekend?

idk. Never been then. July-august is typcially really busy there though. But if you've never been its cool. Try and go to a more remote hike.

 

I went when I was like 10. So I don't remember. Was thinking about staying at the KOA right on the west side. It's $72 a night. I know, crazy! This is what we are traveling in. Have gone about 1300 miles so far and are a week into our trip. Little girl seems to be loving it. Hates being in the car seat for a long time.

Lots to see in the park for sure. The bigger areas will be very busy. But if you can get away from those places its manageable.

be ready for traffic jams for buffalo and stuff. Can be stand still for hours at times.
