Just 2 minor ones. A belly shot where they thought it was actually under the skin........even though there wasn't a break in the skin, and a hand. I'm pretty sure they were either batshit crazy or just wanting a work excuse for today

 

I had a whole pack of firecrackers go off in my head when I was a teen. Wasn’t a fun experience. Looking back I’m truly lucky i didn’t lose a finger or my hand. I just had some really bad burns and blisters all over. My parents didn’t even take me to ER (we didn’t have insurance). They took me to our neighbor who owned a pharmacy and he gave me some cream. LOL!

 

They would have been fine getting some lotion and calling it a day. Neither needed to be in an ER. Stuff like that is what causes long waits. Even though they weren't rushed to the back, when they finally get back there....they take up a potential bed for someone that needs it.

It seems like common sense for treating sickness has left this new generation.

 

Ugh work.

I'm headed to Chilton county today to see my folks. Gotta pick up 53 baskets of peaches for my coworkers.

 

I tripped and fell on a sparkler when I was a kid burning about 1/3 of my face luckily there wasn't any permanent scaring.

That and going there instead of the doc for stuff like strep throat. The er is not a primary care physician. My grandpa was a surgeon and he taught me to stitch myself up so unless I absolutely need it I don't go to the doc or ER.

 

4th of July + living in "not the city limits" + neighborhood of 400 or more houses + over half of those shooting fireworks til 1130-12 + 5 week old baby + work night = a whole lot of fuck this shit today! There ain't enough caffeine, crack, or meth(barners version of slim fast) to get me through today and tomorrow!
