Black bears are generally well mannered compared to their ornery cousins, the grizzlies.

In my experience, black bears are scared of people, and are more likely to run away form you than they are to attack you (unless of course you put cubs into the equation). Once when I was hunting the National Forest I had one walk within 20 yards of me, about to the point where I was going to need a change of drawers if I didn't do something. So I stood up and was about to point my rifle at him/her, but when I stood up it took off. I still might have needed new drawers...

I had a run in with a black bear cub a few years ago. I was mountain biking with a big group but got a head start on a climb so I was by myself. I saw the bear and was like nope and turned around. I didn’t want to have the opportunity to meet the mama bear

 

I’ve killed 3. 2 with a bow at 10-15 yards and 1 with a rifle. During a normal season I run into around 15 mostly sows with cubs. A sow with cubs can be a little more aggressive but still generally more scared of you than you are of them. They don’t scare me much although I have a healthy respect for them. The only time they kinda scare me is the n the dark. I only went hunting 5 times last season and saw 5 bears. They’re a lot of fun to watch.

 

No. I spent a lot of time pondering just that. But I think the drywall would be cost prohibitive (labor and materials)

I wanted to just insulate, so I did a shitload of research, and discovered that you need a vapor barrier to prevent mold (which the paper backing on batt insulation provides), but is a fire hazard unless you put some sort of wall up to cover the paper, and doesn't meet code. So then I looked at foil backed batt insulation, but decided that I didn't want to feel like I was in a tin can since I would have to go all the way to the roof.

I've seen them while hunting but never thought to shoot them unless I thought they were a threat. My friend did shoot one in Edinburg, and helping him gut and butcher that thing was a pain in the ass. It had so much fat on it! After we cleaned off all the fat, it was like we had a dog hanging there. After that I decided it wasn't worth it to shoot them haha.

Got some furniture to sell

Two couches 3 seater (left and right recline). 2 seater with center console, both rock when not in recline position. Looking for 900 for set or OBO (if you just want one of the couches) some wear on the headrest of the 3 seater and marks in the rear from reclining against the wall.
