No, they aren't very thick. I wear mine while hiking all the time and haven't experienced issues with blistering. But 8 yrs of forced marches and 20k humps couldn't put blisters on my feet either so I may not be the best test source.

You aren't kidding. I keep looking back and forth between the coil overs and the Nazi Death Machines for about ten minutes before deciding that the coil bind wasn't that big of a problem for the time being.
