I bought my son a Mission Riot in 2014. Set it up with a Whisker Biscuit rest, Fuse 3 pin Fiber optic sight, Fuse Quiver, 1/2 dozen Easton Nemesis arrows. All told I had a little over $600 in the bow. Fantastic shooter. Grew with him from a draw length of 21" to 28" and 35# to 62#. Will shoot Magnus Stingers close enough at 40 yards that you can't shoot a group at a single spot. Mission makes a damn fine bow!!

I had one on my Bear Element the entire time I owned it. No complaints or issues. I'm sure it took a few FPS off but the bow was still killing deer! I did switch over to a drop away when I got my Arena, thiugh.

It's either love or hate with WB's. When I set my son's bow up in early 2014, I wanted a full containment rest, I just wasn't willing to drop $150 drop away at the time. So I went with a WB. Set up was easy, walk back tuning with broadheads required some minor L/R adjustments. Here we are almost five hunting seasons later and it's still doing it's job. I offered to upgrade him this year to a Ripcord, QAD, or Hamskea. He ain't having it. lol.

I had a deer hear me draw back my bow with a whisker biscuit on...and it was 10x's louder out in the woods. Thats my only reason for going to the drop away. But if it works for you then keep it :)

I havent decided if I want to hunt deer again, but I'm planning on hunting turkey. Always wanted to get a turkey with a bow.

Got two good areas to hunt now too . One in cental Michigan, the other south western Michigan. Each different terrain. Good to have options! I feel very lucky to have access to these areas.

Its great how hunting brings family and friends together. Can't wait to see my Nephews on their first hunt.

Opinions on Easton Full Metal Jacket arrows?

It's time for me to get some decent arrows, so please share your thoughts on what works.

I have a couple Easton Bowfire arrows that I got for free, I like how they fly.

Full Metals are very nice arrows. Little heavier (about 2 gr) in grains per inch. If you check out some of the bowhunting sites like Bowsite, Archerytalk, Rokslide, Elk101, a lot of guys use them. Never heard anything bad. Little pricey, but considering that's the business part of bowhunting it can be $$ well spent. I currently use Easton 5mm Axis ST's. They have been consistent spine and weight wise. A dozen typically costs about $120. I buy raw shafts cut to length and fletch my own. I also shoot Carbon Express Maxima Reds. They are VERY nice arrows but they also run about $170 a dozen. I've also shot ACC's for a number of years. Excellent arrows, straight, consistent and $$, which is why I stopped shooting them.

    stock for now
Most places that make custom bow strings will have a warranty against things like peep rotation.

Anyone able to recommend some good hi viz arrows? With my recurve I rock the bright pink zebra stripe Ted Nugent Gold Tips and they are great. Shoot well and are easy to find in the brush if/when you miss the target. I bought a Bruteforce Lite and need a 300 or 340 spine arrow but the Nugents aren’t made in that range.
