@stronghammer to add, I have the 22", 18" and 14" Weber's. I have found the 18" works great grilling for my Wife and I as well as a few other people. The 22" is perfect for butt's and whole smoked chickens. The 18" and 22" hold a perfect temp if you put the correct amount of charcoal briquettes in there. The 14" works good for searing steaks but is tricky to maintain a specific temp. Of course you could use the 22" grill for all of this. I use my 18" more than anything. 14 incher was first then expanded to the 18 and my grandmother gave me the 22".

You can definitely find a good used Weber on Craigslist before dropping the dough on that new one.

I do like it a lot, but agree the 400$ price tag is steep for that.

Having the table and ash catcher as well as the electric ignition is really nice but I gotta admit one of the reasons I like grilling so much is the task of getting the coals lit and everything else that goes with preparing to grill. Those are a lot of fancy bells and whistles which I would welcome but I ain't gonna drop that kinda dough on a grill when their "Base" models will grill exactly the same. You can always build a table for the kettle like folks do for the Green Eggs.

I could, but I'm not a handy man. I destroy stuff really well, not so great at building unless it's "assembling". even something like this would be great https://smile.amazon.com/BBQ-Dragon...530809111&sr=8-2&keywords=grill+clip-on+table

except the gf doesn't like that the lid of my grill doesn't get completely out of the way.

Gollee that's a neat little shelf! I'm going to have to look into that. The Weber's lids tuck away pretty good. Whether it's hanging like on the 18" or in the lid rest on the 22".

yeah my dinky little walmart grill it just like tilts back and still covers the top grill shelf really inconveniently. that shelf is neat, but wouldn't work on my "square" grill lol.

That is why I went with Fox in the rear, could not get a King to fit my truck that had enough down travel without sacrificing up travel.

Does fox make a shock with a shorter body than the b110 that has >10" of travel?

Not really, mine are about a 1/4 inch shorter. Just find one that gives you the correct down travel and the most up travel possible and use the correct bump stop for that shock.

My bumps are setup to allow for 1/2" - 3/4" of adjustment for longer shocks. I want to find something that doesn't limit dakars down travel, as well as reduce the amount of compression lost to the longer shock. Seems that this is where the rear shock relocation comes in.

Damnit Jimbo. This front bumper has been calling my name.

How many miles are on the Dakars?

Shock relocation will help for sure, you will just have to measure down and up travel and see what is available for your measurements. I would rather lose up travel than down.
