If anyone is interested, landcruiserdirect.com specializes in importing landcruisers and some other vehicles from Japan, Australia, and sometimes the UK. They are pretty fairly priced as well

Those are 79 series right? I don't think those are 25 year old ones.

    I'd like one of those.

If these ever hit the North American market I can already predict the threads that will be started by ex TW members:

“How come I can’t drive highway speeds?”
    “Throttle feels mushy”
    “Why no cup holders Toyota?”
    “Mpg’s....uhhg!”
    “Does dynamat really work?”

......and probably a least a few “what tire size can I fit without rubbing?”

    Mostly stuff I built.
Given the tape on the side showing the center of load point and the tape on the fenders likely listing tire pressure. I would venture to say that those are a class 7 load in transit to a military base. Most likely bound for Local National military in Afghanistan.

So sad we can’t get the 79 series UTE here in the us.

Weird. I saw a 70 something series cruiser on a big rig trailer yesterday. It was white with a snorkel instaled. Where are these trucks going and how do I get one?

    What’s the allure?
    Outdated everything.
Other than nostalgia and a “feeling” why?

    Mostly stuff I built.
Solid front/rear axle, factory lockers front/rear, center differential lock on some models, 9.5” differentials, manual locking hubs, gear driven transfer case, manual transmission, 4.5L v8 turbo diesel, fully boxed frame and the list goes on. The things are a tank not like the US market vehicles that have a nearly built in best if used by date. Much better suited for the duties some of us use our vehicles for.

Edit: Same foot print as a Tacoma more usable power than a Tundra.
