This site is all about fun, it is all about helping also. Your truck do what you want to do to it but People on here try to give good advice and help when they can. You give examples of why you think you are correct and I just give examples of why I think they are correct, to each their own. Sorry if I hurt your feelings.

Agreed. I replaced mine with OEM shortly after I got mine but I hate thinking about all the 1st gens driving around with original lbj that haven't even considered replacing em

Mine blew cold air for 15 minutes last time I charged it... does that mean I just have a major leak? Seems like I wouldn't get any cold air if there was a bad component somewhere

If that's all it takes to get you off a forum permanently, I'd argue you handle criticism much worse than the common person.

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!

    Pssst... here's a secret... :gossip:

If you're just trying to be helpful, and have a civil discussion... don't start out your post like...

It continues to amaze me how people convince themselves cheaper is just as good or better when talking about lower ball joints. When there is proof everywhere they need touse OEM.

Screw that... don't stop posting just because someone has something negative to say about YOUR truck. You gotta lighten up a bit about it.

If you'll notice, when you made your original post about it, a bunch of people were reacting to it like "yep, this is gunna be good" because we all knew the OEM snobs were going to come out of the woodwork... it's just part of the deal on TacomaWorld.

They think OEM ball joints were forged in the blood of the loch ness monster, OEM anti freeze is made from the piss of virgin unicorns, and that K&N air filters will blow your truck up, and make radioactive fallout that will kill entire communities.

You just learn to live with it... and throw in some sarcastic humor about it from time to time.

Or... I guess you can not post anymore. That's an option.

Exactly I live in Vermont not just driving but the weather here also affects vehicles rust moisture maintaining a vehicle here is alot more costly and it takes alot longer to do a simple project because of rust

Yes, I think it was around 450 from Chilkat Designs
    https://www.chilkatdesigns.com/E-Racer.html

I bet you could totally use the e brake cable and actuator, that would be awesome.

I have some other photos on my computer at home if you’d like to see those. This was on my buddy’s 99 TRD, the e locker motor was toast so we went with the cable conversion. Only took a couple hours to install this, ran the cable up the passenger side frame rail and through one of the plugs in the back of the cab.

Not really. Reman calipers have been proven a lot. However...there was a dude that posted a short while ago about how shit the brembo rotors where and he had gone through 2 sets or something...so there's that.

I know oem ceramic pads last longer then most and perform great.
