I stand corrected. I shouldn't have said "all" trucks.

I'm trying to not be that guy. The "whiny girl" comment was completely unnecessary. It added nothing to the conversation, and unfortunately I took the bait.

Question for those who have the dongle-less kits - I'm currently on 1.04 91 and want to try flashing to 1.03 to see if I'll like that better. Matt sent me .bin files, so has anyone renamed these to .p5s files and will it work following the dongle-less process? TIA

Some trucks have the idle bouncing problem stock. Happens at random times. Happened to my R/D truck when on stock tune a few times in first 200 miles.

Some trucks knock like crazy right out of the dealership.
Some trucks have issues with ignition instability / misfires under 2500 rpm.
Some trucks (a lot of 2018 customers report) vibrations / oscillations when driving around 2000 rpm.

Some (many) trucks would shake at idle. My RD truck did this before tuning. It was really really bad.

    Not all trucks though.
Figuring out why two identical trucks with same ECU version behave very differently is not an easy task.

Went to overtake someone today, 60mph, looked in my mirror to make sure it's clear and planted my foot... truck changed down then bam, I almost hit the steering wheel, lost all drive and then returned and accelerated.

Not had it before but I ALMOST hit the steering wheel with my head it was so violent.. the person I was trying to get in front of must have wondered why my truck suddenly stopped.

Not sure what happened there, never happened before but gave me a shock

I've had this happen to me twice since I got 1.04. Hasn't happened in a while though... It happened as slow freeway speeds and I punched the gas and it felt like the truck tried to shift into 2nd and realized it was going to be at too high of revs and then shifted to 3rd before it redlined.

Truck has been running like a dream otherwise

I am glad someone else is int he same boat as I. I am trying to down load the files from the link in the pdf. When I open the first window and down load it, my computer says it's successful, then I get the decryption key and check for most current version. I get redirected to a cloud site called Mega.nz, I set up my account there and after that the left sides shows the file and in the main window the file says it's empty. I disabled my windows defender and turned off the real time setting for malware bytes.

I sent Mat an email, I don't expect real time support this late in the day. Any idea's on what my problem is besides a 140 in my office chair in the last 10 days?

    a few...
This to has happened to me the exact same way as I was on an expressway on ramp as I hit and pressed the gas pedal to the floorboard
the motor/trans didn’t know to react and all the power was lost to the motor...felt like I hit a brick wall and I very luck no one was tailgating me. I’m running 1.04 91octane tune.

I just upgraded my wheels and tires and noticed that my 27 miles trip one way to work is now around 32 or more. I also have a radar speed sign in my neighborhood and before it was always 1 mph more than my speedo, now it's several mph more, like 4 to 5. Based on some other posts on TW I am going to get a $229 Hypertech system and re-calibrate my speedo. I says that when you go in for service at the dealership you should reflash the stock program because it will void the warranty, hell my truck is so modified now that I am sure the it's already voided.

I am 99 percent positive this is due to making the shift tables on the larger tires. Which I know you've expressed the need for shift tables on stock sizes which I will provide.

Anyways, airplanes now. Will get back with everyone soon. Thanks

Does that mean you are out of town? I am trying to complete my tune? Is there anyone in your office that will be able to assist me with my issue?

Thanks Mat, I can't wait to get up and running your tune and the 1.05 release.

This definitely hasn’t happened to me a couple of times in the same scenario. Needs to be looked at but otherwise I’ve had over 4K of fun, easy miles out of 1.04 so far

Yeah I'm aware. Add Maryland to the list lol been eyeing Oregon for a long time but by the time I'm ready to move out of El Paso, that state will likely be a lost cause too. Keeping my eye on Colorado, San Antonio (convenient to just stay in Texas), and parts of Nevada up in the Sierras

If "Cost of Living" matters to you, you could swipe Colorado off the options. Otherwise a great state, but fast on it's way to another California.

Has anyone experienced the same issues getting this downloaded? Is this cloud service called Mega.nz associated with this tune or am I being miss directed to the wrong site?
Thanks for any help or suggestions.
