Thanks. It rubbed a little when I turned all the way but I have to crank my coils back up about 1/2 inch . No serious rub

I agree. I wish they put the 4.0l in the second gens but my little 4 banger 5 speed does the job

Yeah that would be the ultimate combo..

The five speed gets the job done though. I wouldn't want to own a reg cab gen 2 with an auto..

So true! If they offered a 4.0 in the 2nd gen reg cabs, id have bought one of those and put a blower on it.. Those would be stupid quick.

I immediately thought of your truck when I saw that OP had a reg cab v6. Yours is definitely my favorite 1st gen build! was it just the 97 year models that had the option for the v6 reg cab? or 95-97s?

    Thanks :)
V6 was offered from 1995.5 -1997 for the reg cab.
But the supercharger only works on the 1997 year up as they changed the ECU in 1997.
So you only have the one year, 1997 reg cabs, that have a supercharger option, inless you change out the ECU in the reg cab.

Sounds like 97 is the way to go. If I ever run across one of those, I will be really tempted to buy it and put a s/c on it.. Thanks for the good info sir!

    Not a 4wd anyway. I wouldn’t mind an auto 4 cyl 2wd because they’re geared higher

Like the tranny gears are geared higher or the diff? I was under the impression that all 4 cylinders had 4.10s.

I know were talking about reg cabs here, but my dad has a 4cyl double cab prerunner, and that thing is an absolute dog.. :turtleride:

I thought only the 4wd ones have the 4.10 but I could be wrong.

I could be wrong too, idk for sure, that's just what I've heard. I think the prerunners/4wd 4 bangers are 4.10s. and then the 2wd 5 lugs are 3.30s

Based on where you are parked and what you are looking at, you must be hunting tourists?

We have tourist season here too. What's the bag limit there?

Sometimes we do catch and release, after attempting to train them to just mail us their $ instead of delivering it.
