    What temp gains did you see with that pulley change? Or were other mods a factor?

    Same scenario with the 2.85 would have shown 25 to 30° temp differential so the intercooler system is working much harder with the 2.5.

    Wonder if the % increase in temps is equally seen as an efficiency loss in power. That's a math formula.

    Not until you surpass the efficiency island of the s/c. Also of note at 7500ft altitude I still pulled over 8 psi boost. @TRON what are you seeing on average?

    It would be really cool to see what difference there would be with the 7th injector since it's easy and requires no refilling.

    And water/meth because obviously the best cooling but requires frequent refills.

    I'll bet the ic temps would be much lower!

    Yes, there is the refill detail. I fill meth once per tank. Not a bother for me. But I'm weird like that. New BMW comes with meth. 5 litres lasts 5 full ups. Dont know how they do it.

    Smaller nozzle. Fillups would be very dependent on how often meth is needed. For example, when I was climbing the long incline from Havasu into Cali in a headwind I was in boost constantly for what seemed like 5 to 10 mins. That would suck the meth down quick! But, my inlet temps were 140° post intercooler and I'll bet they would be under 100° with meth depending on how much was spraying. That is pure speculation as I have zero experience with it.
    If it were me though I would most likely use just water in the summer and would use the smallest nozzle available to save on refills.

    Which Bimmer uses meth? I'd like to check it out.

    Morning gents,

    Probably a dumb question, but I'm wanting to try and remove the restrictor jet this weekend, and I was wondering if anyone can confirm that the magnuson s/c's have these? I figured they do since the TRD and magnuson are both the M90, but just wanted to confirm with you good folks.. Also any tips on removal of this? I read through the post on the first page and some from the old TRD S/C thread, but was curious if anyone had anything to add

    I’m very sure it does as it’s the same exact unit. The hardest part is getting your hand behind the manifold. You then just need a little room to squeeze the clamp and wiggle the hose off. When I took mine off, my jet came off in my hose so look there if you don’t see it sitting on top of the bypass.

    Unless I'm not paying close enough attention I noticed no benifit to removing the restrictor.

    I still dont understand why people are removing this. All the restrictor does is slow down the speed at which the bypass closes and opens.
    It is essentially the same thing as a shock on your suspension. You dont go driving around on just springs do you?
