SoCal Truck Spotting - Stalking for Some =P

Spotted @Spvrtan at DMV Clairemont at 12:40 today...

 

Worst 5 hours of my life, man. Got there at 7:45a. Didn't leave until 12:45p. All that just to renew my fucking driver's license.

 

Couldn’t agree more. I made a 1:00 appointment to renew DL. Got there 20 minutes early. Took over an hour to get to the point where I had a number. Then waited another hour for them to call my number. Didn’t take 5 hours like you, but when you actually make an appointment a month ahead of time, it seems like they would not make you wait two hours. Total shit show.

 

That's why I started doing that BS online

 

Not that it is much better, but it beats wasting time

 

Would have done it online but the new Real ID DL will be required to get on any flight starting in 2020. You have to go in person to get the Real ID.

Caught a white pro in my blue pro side mirror. Went to the same lunch place. Great minds think alike....obviously.

 

I tried to renew my DL online and it said "Nope, ya gotta call." So I called, and the person on the phone said, "Nope, ya gotta go in because you need a new photo" Fine. I haven't been to a DMV in probably 12 years, so I get it. Holy crap! I got there 10 minutes before they opened and there were folks already lined up around the corner and it took me over an hour to get in the door. I finally get a number and end up chatting with folks sitting next to me that came in for their Real IDs for which they made an appointment. After 5 1/2 hours later, we both get called up and I yelled in the DMV "Make way, my number's been called so I must have hit the lottery!" As I waived my ticket stub in the air. Lot's folks chuckled... Once I got to the counter, they gal profusely apologized saying that they're working with a new computerized systems and it's not going very well. Ya, no kidding. Within 20 minutes of getting to the counter, I paid my $35 and got my photo taken. I knew the lady taking the photos was in a sour mood because she had left for the back and was called back up to the counter ... and when my DL arrived, you could tell I wasn't ready and was rather annoyed. I'll show you at Fiesta Island if you want to see it, but seriously, my cats can take better pictures. So screw it, that's what the DMS wanted, so that's what they got. Oh, and the folks there for the Real ID? Even they admitted that making an appointment only saved them the time of standing outside trying to get in the front door.

Oh man, I really hated that day, but I get a fun story to tell out of it.

I need a RealID License/ID Card to buy ammo.
The State won't let me use my State Issued non RealID compliant license to buy ammo?
