How long do I have to keep the handwritten registration paper on the back of my window?

I live in PA. Don't know when I can take it down or what I have to do.

Yes, this is my first vehicle.

Where I live the paper license is good for 30 days. You should get a real plate in the mail. The Dealer should be able to tell you if they handled the new plate, or not. Mine does that.

Until the state sends your proof of registration in the mail.

I think the temporary ones are good for 30 days.

You’ll get a letter from your dealer with your state registration paper in it. Put that in your truck, and you’re golden.

he should have gotten that when he bought it... the temporary paper is good until you get the real registration/plate in the mail..lived in Pa for over 50 years.

Do you still? PA recently got away from registration tabs. My dealer installed my metal plate, AND I had to keep a paper in my back window until my formal state registration arrived (from my dealer)

...I’ve lived in PA for 11 months, but I bought my new 2018 truck here.

Keep it until you get the registration card in the mail. Then you can take it off. I just went through this 6 months ago. Mine came from the dealership.

PA no longer requires stickers on plates. @ 2 months before your registration is up, you should receive a letter from Harrisburg to renew your registration, at which point you can choose 1 or 2 year registration and YOU will have to print your registration out on your own printer:rolleyes:

Welcome to TW and don't forget to check out the PA sub forum too:thumbsup:

The temp paper should be good for 30 days as others have said.
