BILSTEIN 8112'S METHOD VEX TOYO RT
So I have my Bilstein 8112s up front and I was wondering how everyone running them has them set up. I have them set at the highest setting per installation guide. I feel like it could go a bit higher but I’m not sure if I should, ya know. But I’m rubbing the wheel well up front with my 285/75r16 toyo rt’s while turning. I’m also not running a sway bar. So basically I’m posting this to see how you guys have them set up and what I could do better!!

You’ll probably have to do some trimming and tubbing to get rid of the rubbing.

Any photos with your new set up? :D

What's your caster set at? Did you have it aligned. Shoot for 3+caster

0 offset, I have yet to do my alignment because I wanted to adjust them to a higher setting but Im iffy about going higher then what bilstein reccomends. reason being for wanting to go higher is i have a two inch block in the rear as of now and i have about a one inch rake front to rear and its driving me nuts.

Not sure if you can push them to 3* or not with stickers. SPC or JBA would be a sweet upgrade.

    Looks awesome btw.

    That’s a good looking rig!

and you look high as a kite, brethren

Nope, they can’t make any adjustments like that with stock UCAs. They’re also going to have a difficult time aligning your truck without adjustable uppers.

Ask me how I know :anonymous:

I have a one inch block and at full 3 inch lift on my fox's but I have the total chaos UCA. I am level like that, I wouldn't recommend you go higher until you replace your UCA and maybe consider dropping down to a 1 inch rear block.

Have the shop max out your lca + caster then adjust camber and toe. This will push your front wheels forward. Downfall without uca limits camber adjustments.

Yes but it will be limited to the low side if you are running more than 2 inch lift

Don’t lift it higher than the recommended settings, there is an internal rebound cutoff that you’ll get close to if you lift it beyond the settings recommended for your vehicle. If you get too close to the rebound cutoff, you’ll engage it quicker while driving, leading to a somewhat harsh rebound stop when not desired.

Question: did you remove your stock bump stops since 8112s have built 3-stage compression and rebound control? Also, have you adjusted you preload/spring perch with your 8112s installed?
