Oh illustrious @Speedytech7, king of aftermarket quality assessment - what is your take on dayco coolant hoses for the heater valve -> heater core inlet? Dealer wants $30, the zone wants $12. Will that be a $20 overspend?

I'm illustrious now? Well shit, I didn't even put my pieces of flair on yet.

Dayco hoses should work great, probably gonna have to trim the ends but that's no biggie.

Leather, memory foam, dual stage heating, and memory functions. Hell it even has airbags in the bolster that I didn’t bother wiring up to the SRS system.

Oh terrible. Installing them is terrible. I haven’t actually even put them in yet.

I had to cut up donor 60/40 seats for their sliding brackets since I have an extended cab and I still wanted to access the rear, remember most of the seats do not fold forward like the stock ones do. I forget if you have an extended cab or a double cab. I had to grind down the Lexus rails, and weld angle iron to the Tacoma rails. My fear is it will sit too high.

The driver’s seat has about 30 wires coming out of the harness for things like the seat ECU (Yes, the seat has its very own ECU module), SRS sensors, seat sensors, etc etc.

I’m working on it. I don’t know if I want to keep them since they don’t slide forward, I’m never going to be able to get passengers in the back.

I’ll be damned if they aren’t comfortable though. I sat it a million different cars at the pick-n-pull from BMW’s, to Mercedes, to Suburu, to Ford. The only seat that paralleled the comfort of these seats was the bench seat out of a 1974 Cadillac DeVille.

You couldnt just remove the rails from the orginal seats and swap them over? I also have an Extended cab so I defintely want seats that slide forward.

That’s what I did. I ground off all the unnecessary stock components until the crossmember connected to the sliding mechanism was flat enough to weld angle iron to. I then laid a bead around the circumference of both tracks and intended on putting the Lexus seat on top of that, and welding it to the Lexus sliders so I can have some kind of manual access to the rear of the cab.

The easy way it to cut the feet off the Tacoma seats and just weld it to the new seats. BUT you won’t have a manual slider anymore.
