Did my research on this. I went for coopers because of its measurements of the 305/70r18 is H-35.1 W-12.4 which is most you can go without cutting the cab mount or any plastics. I was also told by many peeps that it’s by far the quietest on pavement.

 

It’s def what you’ll be using your Taco for. Mine will never off-road, and I just use it to tow my little boat.

But I’ve alway wanted a beasty looking Tacoma... specially 3rd gen

That’s why I got fox shox w/ reserviors all around. I would say mine rides like stock if not better Imo. But it’s $5000 installed.

With Mud terrains nothing will be like stock. Coopers is the closest you’ll get from what I’ve read and told. Vibrations for me went away after getting my rings.

Coopers is also very light compared
To the others. And I’m rocking prolly the lightest 18’s you can put on a Tacoma.

My setup costed about $9k... I’d like to think it’s the best anyone could have gone on a 6” lift.

I was told it would even ride slightly better once I go leaf on the rears.

 

Thanks man. Had my truck for a year and didn’t drop any money in it. Saved a full year and dropped it all at once.
I thought about 3” or even 4”... but I knew that no matter what I won’t be satisfied unless I go all the way coz there will be someone I will encounter someone with a 6” on 35’s flexin’ ... I went for what I felt was the best wheels, best suspension, best MTs for mall crawl.

Shoot I only got an SR5..... if you drive a PRO.... you def need to be flexin’..... coz u got dudes by my house driving Pros asking me non stop. Lol they think mine is an OR.... one even asked how I got a pro in tan lol

Since you not going all out... I would go with the BDS basic 6” instead of the coilovers. Half the price and I still damn good.

 

Youre not a true branded mall crawler until you got one of these.... JK hehe

3” Toytec lift with Dakar leafs in back....265/70/18.....When we get back from wheelin in Colorado will go with 285/?/17

 

255/85R16 Cooper ST MAXX, ICON stage 6 suspension, OME add a leaf. 350Lbs of Mobtown belly pans and sliders, All Pro bed rack, 16 gallons of spare fuel. Custom pin striping and a Coleman cooler full of 23 ice cold beers.

 

You're also still limited by the rear diff to the size of the tire, unless you go full independent rear.

I got bds 6in coilover but I got rubbing with 18x9 -12 wheels and I'm running with 35's
