I recently checked, having run mine down further than I normally do. I got the following. I ended up putting 18.89 gallons in. My mix of driving is rural city, rural roads, and limited highway in the NorCal area around Sacramento.IMG_2249.jpg IMG_2249.jpg

21.87 MPG when refilling the tank today...clicked at 18.97 gallons. That included 200 miles of flat New Jersey topography and PA hills.

My truck is an Offroad as well... I ran with cruise this weekend with the kayak handing out the back (gate down) at 75 a few hundred miles and about 23 mpg.

365 if I'm lucky... I do know I have gone 40+ miles well after the mileage counter has dropped to "low Fuel"

2018 Access Cab SR5 4x4. Averaging about 24 a tank but I've gotten up to 29 if I don't gas it all the time and just cruise at 65/75 under 2k RPM. Benefits of living in SoCal and commuting super early in the morning and afternoon

EDIT: This was my first tank lol

About a 1000 miles ago when I filled my truck up it was giving like 360 miles to empty at 20mpg average. the last couple fill ups still at around 20 mpg average it only shows about 285 miles to empty. Same driving conditions. Thought it was weird.

Well, which is it, 360 or 285? Fill it up when the light comes on and see.
Unless they improved the accuracy of fuel gages I wouldn't trust range estimates, nor would I believe mpg estimates. Do the math at each fillup. Even then, where the pump shuts off can throw off the calculation but at least the error is minimized then.

In between. I have been using the odometer to calculate my gas range the last time. Have gotten over the 285 and under the initial 360. Last tank was about 320.

I average about 14-15 mpg with about 280 miles per tank. But also have 4runner pro wheels with ko2 tires and topper with a roof rack.

yesterday filled it up .....227.3 miles / 13.28 gallons = 17.11 MPG... easy going on gas pedal , city miles. The tires are heavy E load 245/75/16R 36 PSI so I guess is a decent MPG

trd offroad access cab, averaging 720-730kms a tank (9.6-10.2kms/100kms) no upgrades or lifts. mostly city driving and back roads to work. I put a drop in k&n filter which gave me an extra 100kms to the tank. also, speedometer doesn't update my full tank past 620. My dad has the same truck and his speedometer updates past 620 to roughly 690? any thoughts?

Could it be memorized avg mileage? I wonder if resetting the trip meters or disconnecting the battery would zero it.

Yeah 300 is pretty normal for me.
280 if it’s a lot of stop and go.

Don't know if K&N filter has the influence in your truck but sounds that it does.
    720/1.6 m 450m/18 gallons= 25 MPG
    620/1.6 m 687.5/18 gallons= 21.52 MPG

The 4.5 MPG difference can be the filter or the driving habits... how hard you push the gas pedal from 0 to 40 and when you stop pressing gas if you know from distance you will not pass that light stop..... that has some to the equation... I guess :drunk:

New Taco owner (only a week) 2016 TRD Off-Road Double Cab. First tank was about 290 miles, 8 miles to empty and filled up with 19.1 gallons (so 2 gallons left). I am hard on MPG (by brother in law says so). Used to get 11 MPG on a 2007 Ridgeline and 12 on a 2001 Dodge Durango. I guess i should be happy with 15.1 (based on the numbers above). The truck MPG said 16.8. The little blue bar hopefully keeps me at the higher MPG and not 11 or 12!!! No mods that I know of, might get new air filter in the next couple of months.

PA driving, 10 min to work, 10 min home, half highway half city with lots of lights. Lots of kids activities all in town.

Latest tank right at the empty line, doing an even split of highway and city was 428 miles. Stands to reason an all highway trip using a full tank could approach 500 miles. 2.7L MT 4x4 FTW.
