Wondering if someone can help me determine what is causing this "wobble". Starts to get noticeable at around 0:16 in the video. I noticed it after I installed my lift. No vibrations anywhere else. Had an alignment done immediately following lift. No brakes applied during the video. Speed was around 65mph when it was most noticeable. I'm wondering if it's related to alignment, tire balance, loose steering components or something else?
    Thanks.

    Video is not showing up.

Are you 4x4? Try driving somewhere in a straight line only, and see if you engage 4hi if it goes away. If yes then it’s the needle bearing and is considered a common issue. I believe ECGS makes a replacement that cures that issue.

If not that, then I would put my money on tire balance being the issue. Have them road force balanced. Not all tire shops have the tool for the job.

    I dont see a video....anyone else.

Do you have wheel spacers? You could move the tires to the back and see if the vibration follows.

From what I've read about the needle bearing issue, it can be felt in the floorboard. It's not so much of a vibration as just the steering wheel rapidly moving back and forth. To some, that would probably be a vibration, though.

I have a similar thing with my steering wheel until my tires “warm up”. My guess is wheel balance or maybe something on the steering rack. I don’t think anything on your rack would be worn out since it is so new.

Any suggestions for uploading this thing? It's less than 0:50, but is timing out when I try to drag and drop it.

I had a similiar issues when I rotated my tires. It was due to the tire not being 100 percent round. Think of a stop sign rolling down the road compared to something that is completely 360 degrees. I agree with @Murphinator road force balance should fix it. Good luck OP

    Tires or alignment.

Hard to tell, but it almost looks like trammeling, which is usually toe related.

Otherwise, as others suggest, balance or a bad tire are the first places to look.

Thanks for the replies. It’s not extremely noticeable, so I probably won’t do anything just yet. I was just curious as to the cause.

Can you explain this "trammeling" thing? I can't remember if the shop I used does road force balancing, but I know a local shop that does so I may try that.

Tramlining is basically the tires following grooves or contours in the road much like a train on tracks. From what I understand, its mostly caused from toe out. You should be able to tell if grooves in the road move your steering wheel for you. I usually experience some on a perfectly aligned vehicle, but its usually limited and on the worst road surfaces. It would likely seem very darty in the front if it was tramlining bad.
