Whale Wars

Hey, I just want to know if anyone else is a fan of Whale Wars. I am, I even bought some of their clothing to show my support. I enjoyed watching whales, dolphins, and other sea creatures while I was in the Navy and I would like those creatures to be there in the future so my children and others can see them too. Australia is taking Japan to the International Court of Justice next week to try to bring Japan's killing of whales for "scientific" reason to a halt.

 

Ignoring that those ecoterrorist jackasses put other people's lives in danger, break laws themselves, and are generally piss poor ship drivers....I laugh at the antics of the untrained hippy crew....

I am against whaling but those guys are idiots. They do nothing to stop whaling. They still kill whales right in front of them.

Until they blow up one of there ships whaling will continue.

It is just like drugs - As long as there is a demand and money to be made it will never be stopped.

I agree the things the ecoterroirists do seem pretty pointless, but I still like watching it.

 

Yeah guys I just finished watching it tonight. Japanese ship was accused of shooting the captain. Luckly, he was wearing a bulletproof vest.
I like it, but those guys need to actually use force to stop...... Just my opinion. Those flour bomb things only do so much....

I'd like to see both parties sent to Davey Jones, but southpark did it right when they did a show on the sea sheppard.I laughed my ass off when their new highspeed boat got rammed and sunk. what they do can be considered an act of piracy, and remember what happened to the rainbow warrior?

 

First off, whaling is not illegal. Second those hippies are basically just as bad as Somali pirates. Stupid bored ass hippie terrorists.

 

While I am against excessive whaling, I believe as with any species that some management may be necessary to keep them healthy and at the same time provide food for the masses. In this case Japan.
That said, I wish the Japanese would find a way to get their hands on the Captain. He is an arrogant jerk who cares for nothing and no one. His only goal is to make himself look like a hero and others expense. He sends those stupid young idiots out with no regard to their safety.
Love it when the Japanese get the best of him and his dopey crew. Sooner or later someone will get killed and that asshole will once again try to make it like they were attacked.

 

I have no idea why the coast gaurd was on the Japanese boat...It was the first time I watched it yesterday so I don't know much.

 

x2 on being against excessive whaling. The show can be entertaining to watch all the stupid shit they do. One of my favorite things they do is when they launch the zodiacs and go in the complete opposite direction.

 

I don't believe we need to be killing whales for "research" or otherwise. However, playing chicken with giant ships has the potential to cost someone their life. I cannot support what either party is doing.

 

The "captain" was faking when he supposedly got shot, although in my opinion the Japanese should be allowed to fire on those terrorists. Cracks me up every time the hippies fail. Bunch of douches.

 

If anything I think Whale Wars has had the opposite effect on public outrage on whaling. I couldn't believe there where still countries whaling but damn, watching a bunck of rich white kids spend the summer trying to foul propellers of whaling ships in Anartica makes most people cheer for the whalers! I bet the Japanese could find volunteers to man the water cannons!
