@GoddardPool, we'll be awake and going strong. If all goes as plan we'll be rolling in around 2pm Friday, along side with toyo4x4og. FYI cell phone service gets cut off just pasted mile 1, so keep a look out, here's what we're in

 

You use any kind of radio? Cb? GMRS?
I plan to pick up some portable so it'd be cool to have a dedicated channel agreed upon.

@Tuff1833, are you sporting your flag already? Thought I saw a blue taco just the other day with that same flag here in Edinburg . Tried to catch up but after running 3 red lights I figured better stop before my luck runs out, lol!

 

No, we don't use any device's other than our phones. We get a kick out of feeling disconnected. We don't do camp fires either, ruins the visibility of the awesome night sky. When your eyes get adjusted to the moon light, its clear as day out there. When camping out we really are not that far from help and most folks on SPI camping are really cool. But, i do have friend that take cb's, so they can keep in contact if their gonna make a run down the beach or into town.

 

No, I'm not sporting my Flags yet. I normally save it for when we go to the beach and hve my three Flags (USA, USMC and Thin Blue Line) flying High ...

Oh, yea that's the truck I saw. I remember saying, "dang, now that's some tire shine!"

 

HEY HEY HEEEYYYY! Just ordered some BFGoodrich KO2's and might have my truck out of the paint shop Sunday after noon. I scheduled the tire installation at Discount Tire for Monday morning. My chrome bumper will most likely arrive on Tuesday. Hopefully all goes as planned, and I'll be able to go to the beach with a fresh truck.

 

@Tuff1833, Is it illegal to drive without a rear bumper? I don't want to drive the truck if it's not legal to do so.

 

No its Not Illegal to drive without a rear and/or front bumper. As long as the required lighting/indicators are functioning properly you will be fine.
