Okay, first off - I know these will not hold up to the off-road riggers that weld on sliders will. However, I bought this to help the little ones get up into the truck and the idiots who do not know how to open their car doors without hitting my truck!

So, I went with avid offroad for a couple of reasons:

    • Bolt-on without having to add additional hole. They use the factory holes.
    • Looked very nice in the online photo's I have seen.
    • The price. Just cannot beat it!
Things I did to prep and install the bar's:

    • Steel wool rub down
    • Alcohol wipe down
    • 2 coats of Rustoleum Flat Auto Primer
    • 2 coats of Rustoleum Hammered Black
    • 3M No-Slip tape
    • Loctite - Blue
Now to some photo's :) I have some after the paint process if anyone wants to see them.

Nice choice. I've got their bolt-ons too and had them powdercoated.

I may end up doing the powercoating or line-x, pending on the ware of the spray paint.

The cost. I think was something like $350 shipped. Mention you are a tacomaworld member and he will work with ya a bit.

Next on the list is the light bar for the front and maybe the hitch step, which is pretty cool...

Yep, mention TW and Brandon will give you a discount. I got mine at the beginning of this year and they were $330 shipped.

Didn't have to on mine...they're bolt-ons....They're more for looks and to act as steps...You can order them as weld-ons.

took the no-slip tape off the driver and passanger side front. The Wife scaped her leg one too many times. I said she would learn, she said she did not want too.. :\

SO, when she slips when they are wet, do I get to laugh?

Only if you like sucking your own D**** LOL!!
But you might want to try the crinkle type finish paint.

    Might be a good compromise!
