Has anyone else had there Taco Beep at them and get a message saying cruise control in unavailable only to have it come back online like 5 minutes later?

I was driving about 52 down the highway with a kayak on the roof, and the Taco beeped real loud and started slowing down and had the collision detection off lit on the instrument cluster. I just assumed that a massive bug splattered on the camera so the truck couldnt detect the road and called it quits. but a few minutes later It came back online, the light went off and cruise control worked once again. Is this just a one time hickup? Or did I do something stupid and not notice?

Do you have a stock grill, or did you get yourself a TRD Pro one?

If all is original, your assumption is possible - check for bugs and junk. The radar/sensor itself is directly behind your T logo on your front grill. Put up some pictures!

Mine did this randomly going down I16 here in GA. Cruising along and the car in front of me gets off the interstate and then the truck starts beeping and is applying the brake. But then it abrubtly stops. No bugs or anything. It was weird but hasn't done it since.

That sounds like it has something to do with the adaptive cruise control..... it lost its reference point when the other car left the interstate.

It wouldn't let me turn it back on. Actually turned off cruise. It was just random. I actually dislike this adaptive cruise control. Wish I could turn it off.

You can...when you turn on cruise, hold the button in for an extra second and it will change to standard cruise control. I don’t care for the adaptive either....
