What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Ron, I was so tired last evening that couldn't stand another second without food (diabetic), and the heat and humidity did me in, so called it a night. Thank God for my hydraulic lift, the exhaust installation was only about thirty minutes all together, and I'm not a mechanic, however, been wrenching all my life.
This morning I test drove my new TRD Pro exhaust and it sounds awesome, even my wife liked it, mind you we are old people mid to upper sixties, that says something about us liking exhaust notes.

Did u use any glossifier or just the black?

The best thing about it is that if you don’t like it, you can peel it right off

 

New black bumper caps came in today to replace chrome ones. Ordered from Rockauto. Probably put them on next week. Considering having stock rims powder coated matte black then calling it quits. Pictures pending.

This will get interesting. Battery terminals are reversed when compared to OEM

Tried to debadge.... Pulled the paint right off. Maybe previous owner reglued the SR5 badge with super glue?

 

Holy shit dude, yeah that must be the case. I pulled all mine off, that's not even the right kind of adhesive. Supposed to be foam backed double sided tape, not glue

guna derp my mirror caps and hood scoop...badges i removed on day 1 while im at it.

 

Installed First World Problems Bedrail Mounts with Quick Fist. Attached a Fiskars x15 axe and Kobalt shovel.

 

Thats fucked up

 

Bed rug tail gate mod. Dog was having hard time jumping up the tail gate to get in since the plastic cover is slippery. Used existing bolts and two double sided sticky tape on the edges only. Less than 10min install and well worth preventing pet injury.

 

Finished up my speaker upgrade.

 

That sucks man. Were they black? If so, I bet he used that emblem glue because adding the tape after is so difficult.

 

This made a few people a little angry in the 3rd gen FB lol. I like the TRD Pro badges better so I put on TRD Pro badges. I’ll be the first person to tell you mine is not a pro. I don’t like leather seats and it doesn’t come in inferno lol.
The fake eBay badges are actually really nice!

 

That sucks man, definitely not the OEM adhesive.

 

Dremeled everything because I’m sick of tire rubbing.
