I was at Toyota dealer today getting my 16km regular matiannce and I was informed there is a service bulletin for the rear light that leaks into the cab. So if you have that issue head to Toyota.

Very well known issue across the forum but thanks for the heads up. Had mine fixed a couple weeks ago.

I’m not entirely sure what they did. They said the adhesive on the seal was bad and pulled away causing the leak. They replaced the seal and the light.

Mine wasn’t leaking badly. Barely noticed it after a car wash and only because I had the seats down and saw a single water drip on the plastic.

The dealer indicated that it will either leak from a bad seal or from the pinch weld. If the pinch weld is leaking they chop and replace the entire roof.
