I have those decals bookmarked... but can you tell if the red (or any color) ring can not be applied? i..e if I only want the TRD part, is that possible?

Yes, that's possible. I have the same decal but in silver on my wheels. All the letters and the circle are actually separate pieces but are all applied at once... i.e. all on the same backing that you peel off once applied if that makes sense. So yes, you don't have to have the circle on there if you don't want it.

Edit: See pic. (not my wheels, off of Import Equipment website)

I plan to run my stock spare tire. I don’t wheel and very rarely take my truck on long trips. I have heard that Dustin at FN wheel will sale you a matching wheel with slight blemish for a spare.

I would be interested in knowing if a 285 would fight in the stock spare tire location though.

I'm not running 285's but I did buy 5 for a matching spare. Had the wheels for over a year and just now mounted the spare on the rear bumper I installed 2 weeks ago. I seem to have misplaced my center cap for the spare...

I have thought about rear bumper spare mount but wonder how it would be especially with DCLB body.

After 2 weeks I'm still not used to the extra foot hanging off the back. It will be great when off roading to not have the spare under the truck hitting stuff or in the bed taking up room. I thought about doing a hitch mount but needed a bumper after some trail damage and didn't want to spend the $ on the hitch option.

Very happy with the wheels and color choice. As everyone has already stated, Dustin was incredibly nice and full of great information.

Will likely go with OEM silver TRD centercaps.

I did a cap mount chop, hammered down the pinch weld as well as heated up the inner fender liner with a heat gun. Did that before I even took the truck for a test drive. Used the new tires to check for clearance by cycling the suspension without the shocks mounted. It made for a long day of cutting, welding, grinding and mounting the Bilstein 5100’s. Needless to say my wife was not happy that I was spending so much time on my new Tacoma.

But it is worth it, zero rubbing! :bananadance:
