That looks right up my alley, too.

Gonna save this recipe....thank you !!!

Yup....it's crazy. I don't judge.....I just hope for more carnivore tendencies when I'm cooking for them. Breakfast is easy now....I can do omelettes. It's the grilling that gets on my nerves.

Yep, I’m a meat eater big time and sometimes I make that recipe just because I’m craving it. It’s great. Easy too.

How do you clean your cast iron pan after use? Have researched water and soap, water no soap, kosher salt, etc.

Never soap. Cast iron scrapers work well. Mostly I just wipe it out with a paper towel.

Camping I get it rocket hot and just let it cook off.

You’re welcome. Mine has never seen water, but I don’t do fish in it. If I did, I would do a kosher salt scrub, rinse in hot water no soap, towel dry, and then put it in 350 oven for half hour to completely dry.

No soap! Google 'de-glaze a skillet'. Use wine or whatever if you want to make gravy. Otherwise, just plain water. Let boil off, then wipe out. Rinse with hot water, wipe out again and dry on a burner, then oil.

What do you do with the first huge batch of tomatoes for the year, make sauce...

Homegrown tomatoes, basil, and from scratch dough.

P.S. If you love cooking on cast iron, I highly recommend the Lodge Pizza Iron!

Didnt have syrup so I took some butter, brown sugar and a little corn syrup and heated it in the microwave for ~3 mins and then added a little milk to thin it down for my sweet potato waffle sauce this mornin

The rest of dinner was plain, rice & zucchini, not worth posting. The chicken though, applewood smoked chicken breasts, delish!
