Lisa, I just read this thread start to finish and got all excited Like when I used to get excited about my Tacoma. :mudding:Thank you for that. I saw the pictures of your old springs and just thought "turn that :( upside down"!:) I think you made a great choice and I can't wait to hear how you like it. AAL's would have made it ride rougher.

I completely understand what you mean - I cant wait! I haven't been this excited since I picked my Toy up from the dealer 2-1/2 years ago.

:pout:Looks like I'm waiting another day for things to be finished. The shop I brought it to to get the front end done apparently underestimated the time and amount of work needed to get things together. Talk about disappointment!

Since I cant show off my awesome new set up I guess I'll just show some before pics...
Everything packed up and ready to be installed!

Raining too much today for me to want to get any "after" measurements...I will get those once the weather improves! My guess is that I've got at least a 3" lift out of everything.

Nice, the front looks like it got quite a bit of lift, more than I would have thought.

yeah...I thought the same...and I think that they installed the front Billies at the highest settings, unless my logic is wrong...the zero should be the groove closest to the ground...and these ended up on the top groove...I have a bad feeling that I'm going to end up back at the shop first thing Tuesday...sigh...and I'm sure they'll be so excited to see me again!

I feel like I am hemorrhaging money at the moment so new tires will have to wait a bit. Been eyeing some Cooper Discoverer ST's though. Maybe Santa Claus can bring those for me later this year.

Well if I could ever get off TW long enough I would tell you! Kidding, I went for a drive last night to test things out. Much improved both on the highway and offroad. At least I'm not bottoming out each time I hit a crack in the pavement or a pothole. And I do have a slight vibe, I hear it more than I feel it. Not sure if I should be worried, just a minor annoyance right now. Also, right after installing the rears I drove it over to a shop for the front end work and the rear squeaked like hell, last night no squeaks. maybe because everything was soaking wet from the rain? I was all set to start spraying everything down to get rid of the squeaks, maybe I don't have to.

What are the most common causes of the vibes? Been searching on here and it seems like there could be a lot of different factors at play.

Like I said, I hear it more that feel it but there is a slightly different vibration in the steering wheel when I'm out on the highway - say 65-75mph. Maybe I'm just being paranoid. I'll be driving the truck like a grandma for a while now, at least until I get used to things.

Could you post a pic of the spring seat on the billies? I want to be sure they installed them correctly.

Yes - heading out now to get more pics and measurements. It was raining ALL DAY yesterday so I didn't want to be crawling around on the ground. I will report back shortly!
