    Hey Matt, @OVTune

I had some drivability problems with my truck yesterday in the 120 degree heat. I was loaded down with over 500 pounds of steel Way out in the desert.

104 tune 91 octane with 91 in tank. AT.

When I would take off from a stop I had acceleration problems in first gear in between 1500 rpms to 1900 rpms. WAS DRASTICALLY NOTICEABLE ON INCLINES AROUND 5%. I almost put truck in low range to make it over a hill.

The truck would stumble and fall on its face until it was through the 1800-1900rpm zone then accelerate normaly.

I posted up some videos of the truck doing this months ago on 103.

I don’t think it’s pinging or detonation. Just and instant lack of power. I think it’s related to some of the stuff your working on for 105.....total throttle control, and injector control.

I had also sent a log of it months ago too.

I think it looked like this when I logged it last.

Still loving the tune. Just switched back to 91 after 4000 miles on 87. Power difference is immediately noticeable along with acceleration power and gear holding due to increase in power/timing.

I was basically in the same situation. Same town, similar speed, and temp.

So when a new version like 1.05 is released does it just show up in your email or do you have to request a copy?

I'm having this same issue with downloading the software. The flash manager says the file has been downloaded however it is not on my computer. I was hoping to send my request for the license so I could get it early next week. Anyone been able to download the P5flash.exe recently? I've confirmed Defender and AVG is disabled. Is there anything else I need to check to get this downloaded?

    Thanks!

    :)

not sure if there is suppose to be a picture? not sure what you're referring to.

it is a combination of throttle and the toque models. It is vastly improved with 1.05.

something important for everyone to understand 1.05 is NOT a mpg tune. Expect stock like or worse than stock.
As soon as I have working internet I will send out updates and get back to everyone

Will the shift changes and 4th dead pedal zone fixes you’ve mentioned be available in an updated 1.04 (efficiency tune)? I plan to play with 1.05 regardless but overall I love 1.04 as I think many others do minus a couple of occasional oddities that it sounds like you’ve addressed in the latest. Asking for a friend ;)

It is likely in the downloads folder under your username on the main drive. It’s within a zip file as well.

I’m wondering the same thing. I haven’t downloaded any tune updates yet and I’m pretty sure you have to have the newest version of the flash manager to download tune updates. Someone please chime in if I’m wrong

20180707_104402.jpgits literally just an extension with two male ends, one going to the plug right under the dash and the other end going to a plug next to the wire harness going through the fire wall. Unless my memory is completely fucked at the age of 20, I don't remember putting that there

1.04 seems to have next to no kinks. It responds well with my bigger tires, lift and armor. It just holds fourth to keep the rpm range for accelerating

What does it say on it? Can't quite make it out, but it looks like there's an internet address at the bottom

so ive been running 1.04 91 tune with 93 octane ethanol free for several hundred miles now. Overall i am happy but there are a few issues. The shifting (i think its between 2-3) is very rough, all of the shifting doesnt seem as smooth as in the 87 tune (seems to flare more than 87 tune). Also when idling, the truck vibrates pretty bad, and with the AC on, the whole truck shakes when the compressor kicks on, never noticed it with stock tune or 87..may just be the 91 tune.
I am going to put the 87 tune back on and im excited to try 1.05. not worried about MPG here

WTH do you mean it wasn't there before??? It's not factory, that's for sure.

Oh and you're missing a pedal under there :)

Can improvements to throttle be applied to 1.04 87 and 91 files without sacrificing mpg? Maybe 1.04 B or something?

I will undoubtedly try 1.05, but current power levels with 1.04A 91 are pretty good. Throttle could always use tweaking

    Looks like this:

But, what’s it plugged into? A tracking device?

I would like a little better torque and or throttle response in the lower in the RPM's, around 1500 and from what I have read, Matt says that 1.05 should address that more.

2nd is a little boggy still, but MUCH improved from previous versions.

Curious how they tuned the engine in this thing?

Better torque at 1500 rpm would be very welcome. I am one of the few that thought switching from a MT to an AT was a good idea, it wasn’t. Wife can’t drive a MT well enough for it to work out in our situation. I can’t stand the drop to 4th on every hill near my house. I’d gladly give up some MPGs if it’ll save me some money by not having to trade again so soon.
