    Agreed. It had a Peugeot-Renault-Volvo (PRV) 2.85-litre V6, rated at 130 HP.

They're absolutely terrible cars. No power steering, low visibility, and like the 3RZ Auto Tacoma - the Auto DMC-12 is also a dog.

That's not stopping me though. It's one of those crazy 80's car everyone wants to own. Kind of like the Lamborghini Countach - terrible compared to other similar cars of the era and also by today's standards, but it's just one of those unique and fascinating cars that will go down in history.

It's still in development, like Tesla they are struggling with the power delivery/storage system. The re-designed interior looks great though. Keeps a lot of the elements of the original design, while giving it a modern look.

If I was going to own one, I'd probably do this.

I've known a few folks with them, I have zero desire for one anymore. @koditten is right, they're absolute garbage and the movie is the only thing that makes them even worth remembering. I think I'd rather have a beer with John DeLorean and talk about his coke days.

He can't even run that one hard because it is still bolted up to the weak drivetrain. He created the vehiclular equivalent of a cock block.

That's right, he kept the original French PRV transmission. I don't understand why he kept it after going through all the trouble of swapping in a powerful engine like the LS. It's like putting wooden tires on a Lamborghini.

Haha I know exactly where that was filmed, also they used to show up to car meets. Spokane car meets were awesome, we would just all show up and fill up a Walmart or Costco parking lot and hang out, check out cars until the police came. Then stoplight race to the next meeting location haha.

Ha man if I found seats like that they'd be in my truck.

I've seen many many Tacomas at junkyards during my time, but I have never seen a 6-lug 4x4 or double cab before. They have always been the base model to end all base models, or a really really worn out PreRunner.

The 1st gens that are still worth a damn (6-lugs, Double Cabs, 4x4's, most Ext. Cabs) end up at the speciality scrappers. The 1st gens that are worthless (like base 5-lugs) end up at pick-n-pull.

That's why I get so many parts from 4Runners - I see so many 4WD 3rd gen 4Runners pop up. I once saw a whole row of Limited 4Runners.

Not as crazy as you'd think. They're very light, just bulky.

I've shipped heavier and bulkier things before. Hell my A340E shipping weight was about 120 pounds, and costs about $150 to ship on a pallet.

I can freight stuff decently priced because of connections at precision turbo.
I’m just having a hell of a time finding these damn seats. I know the 4Runner ones would work, but after sitting in the limited seats I have yet to find one as comfortable
