This pic was about halfway between Strawberry Reservoir and Soldier Summit on the Forest Service road 131 starting from the Renegade area of the lake. US 40 is closed right now, however due to a huge fire in the area so check road closures.

Thanks for the heads up. I think we will take 6 into Spanish Fork and then North. Hopefully we can find a place to camp during the weekend.

What cap is that which is higher than the cab on a single cab? Any issues with fit to the regular cab?

    Mid rise.
Wish I had gotten one of those instead of the one I got. Just that "little" more space makes a big difference.

Hah! My son and his friends were out there... did you happen to see a 6x6 5-ton monster truck covered in lights, with dual flame throwers sticking up the front, and pounding out tunes from a 6000 watt sound system cruising the playa? Thats "Stardust" ... WE ARE ALL MADE OF STARDUST!

That's an ARE MX cap made for the curves and shape of the regular cabs. It fits great and I'm very happy with it.

Yeah, I had a previous cap that continued the lines of the cab, but having those extra inches make a huge difference. Since I sleep in the back, it's less like a coffin with the additional head height.

I didn't see it directly, but could see the flame effects from across the playa. So awesome!
