OEM tailgate actuator dealer price?

IIRC they don't honor full warranty if you purchase through Amazon.

I bought the parts, I just haven't gone around to installing it. Bought wire from HD and i got two actuators off amazon for $10. Now I just need time to do it.

 

If they do try to get out of it I will remind them that this was supposed to be part of the truck before we negotiated the price of the vehicle. I'm sorry there salesman made a mistake but I also don't mind just giving them the truck back.

 

If they try to back out for that, just tell them that you have several coworkers and family in the market for a new vehicle, and the way this situation is handled will reflect the review you tell those people.
They will not lose out on an oppurtunity to make a sale over a 200 dollar job.

 

Well talked to the dealer and they are going to either get me a new tailgate or truck. I really am shocked, I figured at worst they would just offer $289 dollar in over priced accessories. Oh well we will see

 

+1 for Universal Toyota in San Antonio they installed the tailgate lock.
