    You have to get down low to see the plate for obvious reasons
    My skid plate comes straight up to the support because I had the 5 speed Radiator that is shorter in height. The other members skid plate is box like because he has an auto or has the taller radiator 22” tall, FYI
    I actually have the Champion 3 core Radiator that is 18.5” core height compared to
    to stock height of 20” core stock height. So you gain added approach clearances if you have the 5 speed radiator because you can use this skid plate

    Yup welcome, open up the wallet.
    Here is the approach angle difference in the 5 speed skid plate and auto skid plate
    5speed radiator is 20” core height and auto is 22” core height

    The other great thing about these skid plates is if you drop a bolt or screw driver or wrench in the engine Bay Area you have access from the side or center access hole in the center of the skid plate.
    The stock skid plate has to be removed if you drop anything in the engine Bay Area.

    Spent all day pulling it home on a stupid uhaul because...

    One mile into our 8 hour trip home getting on to the freeway, shift into 5th gear, let the clutch out and boom... either the clutch gernaded or I blew the input shaft on the trans... had no clutch slip before that. Had 120k on an oem clutch. Something just let go.. A guy stopped and pulled us off the freeway and we grabbed a stupid garbage towing uhaul and drug her home.. Good thing for the winch or we wouldn’t have gotten the pig on the trailer.

    Never go full Monte..

    Sucks, and only 120k, Mmmm my clutch lasted 250k and original transmission at 565k,
    Hopefully it’s something else as these items usually last a lot longer than 120k.

    my friend had all the tools except the belt tension guage. Ill end up buying it cause im curious about my power steering belt. All in all with water coolant auto trans fluid n parts, $450 plus or minus. If i did it myself which im definitely going to do next time. Id prob spend close to what @turbodb spent with tools and parts.

    Cheapest quote out of a toyota certified shop was 2k, toyota down the street wanted 2800 for the 90k service. It includes spark plugs n shit but i felt that was way waaaayyy too much. May have someone do the spark plugs cause i did that last time n it sucked.

    If you can have it done w parts for under 1k it might be worth it, but if you spend the 800 on parts n tools...next time it will be half that. Its only 8-10 hrs of your life hahah n some cash

    That is a valid point, im at 180k so it makes more sense for me, may not in your case.

    Why do you say fingers crossed for another 30K, does the engine feel sluggish or unreliable in some way? Just curious, I have 214K now and mine feels like it still putting along perfectly fine.
