I saw like 4 or 5 guys chime in that their trucks did the same power loss on the highway while passing. Made me think it was common.

Also read that guys trucks run terrible from time to time when they get bad fuel. (Engine knock etc). Perhapse im taking it all too literal?

I think the power loss problem is to do with the throttle position sensor. A few guys posted logs of the throttle position sensor showing that it was jumping between a higher and lower position continuously while at a certain throttle position. Kind of like the truck couldn't decide or register the actual position

Neither of those issues is even remotely true for me anyway.

Been on the tune from the start and never experienced either of those and it's been
upper 90's - 103 here. Issues are quirky from truck to truck, stock or tuned.

I’m also in the camp of never having experienced these issues. I live in Nashville and drive all over the southeast so my truck regularly sees 95+ temps in sticky humidity loaded down and have never had an issue nor any power loss.

Something that would be nice on to have is a switch in the truck to be able to swap tunes.

I have one in my diesel truck, with the turn of a knob, i can go from stock power levels, all the way up to 500hp 1000lbft at the back tires.

In the taco it would be nice for the chance of getting bad fuel, or turning it down incase someone else is driving.

Dsp5 switch is what it's called in the diesel world...

    That would be nice.

    1. stealth mode and 2. hold-on mode.

Not necessarily. I think he's suggesting an additional monster mode would compliment the current stealth mode nicely.

It's NA, it can't be a monster with a tune.

You haven't gotten that one tune where they use the OBDII port to flash an LS motor in place of the 3.5.

Reminds me of when Piper put the 720 cubic inch IO-720 engine in the Comanche, rather than supercharging, to get decent horsepower at altitude for cruise. (Plus side being it makes ridiculous power at sea level)... don't need no stinking supercharger...

Toyota just needs to have 4 engine options... Turbo 4, V6, V8, and Turbo Diesel

Or at the very least have a 4 cylinder, Turbo 4, and a Diesel. No reason to have a V6 anymore unless it is Twin turboed like the Ecoboost from Ford.

IMO Ford is leading the way when it comes to Powertrains!

Yes. 1.04 is awesome. Power is there and mileage economy

I got 20 mpg commuting to work today in traffic

Does anyone mind posting screenshots on what it would look like where you download tune updates? Much appreciated...
