Used to do 32 a day at the beginning of cow season. I'll never use a tire bar for tires again .

Sit down when you open the link...don’t want you to lose your balance when you check out the specs. More specifically, when you see the price.

    Never ending......$$$
Tried searching and now I'm more confused than ever. Hoping the norcal crew can give me some advice.

I'm have a set of fox coilovers rebuilt and I'm going to put a 650# coil on them. They currently have 600# coils. Should I go with a 13" or 14" tall coil?

I'm running a front skid, steel front bumper but no winch at the moment.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

My truck looked very naked for awhile. But with the move I had to take crap out of my garage and put it back on my truck. Pretty nuts how a soft topper and trasharoo can make the ass end look that much more beefy lol

@tyfoon11 and I sat down and drank some beers in one at Expo. Checked out the wine glasses with “Earthroamer” etched on them. The one we were sitting in was $560K.

They didn’t let people (like me) in the $1.5M unit:

    https://earthroamer.com/xv-hd/

Even if I had the money, it was a little too “RV” for me. So much weight behind the rear axle too. I followed one on 80 and it looked like the dude was having trouble keeping it in the lane. Rear end was really hopping too. Not what you’d expect for that price.

    These are apparently a bargain.

    I really like this one:

134” wheelbase. So shorter than the trail limos. Same turning circle (44’) though.

    https://earthcruiser.com/our-vehicles/earthcruiser-exp/

    $225K ish.

The prices seem ridiculous, but so are diesel- pusher RV’s, and these can get to so many more places.

    How’s that $6,500 Drifter lookin’ now ;)

    To put things into perspective...

    https://www.lazydays.com/rvs/?query...MIhIjBxLCS3AIVDNRkCh335AstEAAYAyAAEgIZkvD_BwE

I don’t think these fall into the “90 day” RV category.

    Let me explain...

An off road trailer manufacturer I met said he had a friend in the RV industry. He wanted to buy slide out tracks and consulted his friend. His friend showed him the “90 day” slides, and obviously told him to avoid them.

Apparently, most RV stuff is built for 90 days. The average owner uses the RV 9 days/ year, and keeps it for 10 years. This is the standard that most RV manufacturers go by. Built to last 90 days.

The higher end stuff is built for full- timers. Typically, the off-road RV’s are built even better, and on a much more capable platform.

    How are Drifters built?

Well, this was about 6 weeks ago.

    4A272C36-1E70-42F5-8DC0-C287CB3DD3A9.jpg 8B4EA83F-008F-492C-B024-D6F3DFF37784.jpg

Truck rolled onto the cabover and it made contact with his roof.

    This was yesterday.

This is our first Drifter and @danneskjold has it on loan. Duct tape is for the temporary solar control wires. Not holding the camper together...

Wifey and I spent the afternoon in Sonoma. There to pick up a repaired necklace. Had some refreshments at the El Dorado hotel.

Can you imagine trying to insure one of those?

Phil forgot to mention that my roof actually has a dent from the cab over, which absolutely prevented me from rolling. People don’t believe me until I show them the dent and the slight bulge where the cab over bent down and popped back into place. I’m continuing to use it today and just drove over Imogene Pass with it an hour ago.

I saw a dude with a Global Expedition Vehicles camper the other day - super cool and absolutely luxurious inside yet definitely looked like it was made to last. I didn’t ask him what it cost, but he said it took 14 months to build and he gets 5MPG. https://www.instagram.com/advtinker

I could see buying one instead of a house, but in addition to just seems ridiculous.
