Dive in brother. Start your tool collection and everything else is trial and error.

To cut for 285s or some other 33, just get an angle grinder and cut off what you can get to on the cab mount. You can see the work on my build thread. I WAY over thought it, but it was the first real cutting and welding I did on the frame.

For 35s it's a much bigger can of worms.

For sure. I know tacos are trusty as hell but whenever i try to help someone find a used vehicle. I always try to aim for under 100k or less. Can be tricky though especially with tacoma resale values.

I called a couple shops and they all said that 285/75R16 is too wide and will rub on the UCA. Is that true?

Yes, they will. You’ll need wheel spacers to avoid that. bora and spidertrax both make good ones

You could get away with bora 0.75” but I’m a fan of the spidertrax 1.25”. Gives it a great stance.

Now the spidertrax 1.25" comes with two spacers. Should I get a second set for the rear wheels or it doesnt matter?

You don’t have to, it’s a matter of preference. I like to run all 4 for a more uniform look.
