Just put more before pics in my gallery and in my other thread http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/suspension/83863-1st-gen-needs-suspension-upgrades-asap-3.html
So I don't need luck anymore I need weapons with which to threaten the guys who have taken my truck hostage.

And why is there no emoticon for a tantrum...lying on the floor kicking and screaming? I could really use that one right now.

Oh, man, what am I thinking. You got the 4-pack, I got the 5-pack. I am smoking pack crack. Yeah, I will have 1.5 to 1.25 in the rear to make up for in the front, and the OME 881s are about 1.75 and stock rake is 1, or so I hear. So I need to stop thinking so hard. I have this figured out.

I have the front Billies (which I will set at zero), but not the OMEs yet. Just getting ready to pull the trigger when I find them as cheap as possible.

For now just put the 5100s on the middle notch and use your stock coils, just to see how you like it with the 5 pack, I would think that is a pretty good looking rake.

can i at least run over the ups man and the stupid mechanic? i'd like to think of that as a "flex test" to see how well the new set up handles obstacles.

awesome! and you'll attest to my sanity and status as an upstanding citizen when i get arrested for assault right?

UPDATE: just picked up the truck! and I fell out when exiting the vehicle. Gonna have to leave myself a reminder to watch that first step from now on. And they honored the original price quote so I guess I'm happy. Now I just have to be patient and wait until 5 to go for a test run...unless I go out over my lunch hour....hmmmm...

So, correct me if I'm wrong but...the "0" setting on the front Billies should be the groove closest to the ground once they're installed. Right?

I figured that was right, just thought I'd be sure before I go ballistic on the mechanic. Looks like I'm headed back to the shop on Tuesday.

They're on the highest setting, which looks okay now but I know that the leafs are going to settle faster than the front and I will end up dragging ass pretty soon. Also, its a bit rougher ride having the fronts set so high.
Why can't men ask for help? If they didn't know for sure what they were doing to my truck why couldnt they have called me or YotaDan? And I left f'in post it notes on everything telling them what to do.

Wow that must be pretty tall esp with bigger coils. At least it should only take an hour to do. How's your alignment? Did you see if the leaf springs were installed correctly?

Everything in the rear is awesome - my friend did that for me. He just didn't have the compressor springs for the coils and didn't feel comfortable doing the front end so I took it to a shop for the front end work only. I thought that they knew what they were doing - I talked with the guys and told them what all I had purchased. They seemed to have a good grasp on things at the time.

Alignment is good, no wandering or anything. I do have a slight vibe now though, seems to be a common side effect for our trucks. And the report after my first outing is that it does handle much better, went for a short drive last night after work to test things out. Much improved in the following areas - curves on the highway (less sideways lean), on dirt no jumping to the side when I hit a washboarded stretch (before I would end up with a chatter and the truck would launch itself sideways down the road), and the front end seems much more responsive, no more steering wheel jumping out of my hands when a hit a few bumps, and most importantly NO MORE AXLE WRAP!!!! hallelujah!

:woot: do yourself a favor and get PB Blaster...soak everything at least a couple of times before the install. Everything came apart easy on my truck - thinking that had something to do with it.
