Or supercharged deal. Bumps compression, cooling, and serves as a fuel source. Allows for mods you wouldn't normally have in a safer way.

    Thanks for the info!
Before you posted I had found what I thought must be the same wheels at http://www.rotawheels.com/product-category/off-road
Now that I'm looking there seems to be several connections to various companies:
Rota 5Star - looks just like - FN Five Star
Rota Trail-R - looks just like - Stealth Custom Series F5
Rota Grid Extreme - looks just like - FN/Konig Six Shooter
Rota Grid Offroad - looks just like - FN/Konig Countersteer Offroad and Relations Race Wheels RR2
Rota Grid Type B - looks just like - Relations Race Wheels RR4
Rota Grid Type X - looks just like - FN/Konig Countersteer Type X
I'm wondering if Rota is the supplier for the smaller companies, but I'm kind of surprised if they are supplying Konig, cause I assumed they made their own.

Anyway, the Five Star wheels you got are the sharpest looking of the lot. And they're freakin' light-weight too, 6-10 lbs.
lighter than most of what you see at TireRack. Good choice, man. Well done.

I'm afraid the -25mm offset may be a bit extreme for my situation, though.
I'm wondering what a set of the Countersteer Type X in metallic blue would look like under a
    magnetic grey Taco.

Those would look fantastic. Your weight numbers seem to be off. Most of these wheels weigh about 19lbs, not sure where you got 6-10lbs. Also, they make the five star in a 0 offset that’s much less aggressive than the one I got FYI. Call Dustin to talk about options. They have a lot of wheels/sizing/options that aren’t listed on the website.

I meant they are that much lighter than a lot of others. Most of what TireRack offers run 25 to 30 lbs. or more.

Yeah definitely. I’m not trying to build a lightweight truck but my 19lb wheels and 59lb 285/75 MT’s sure look a lot heftier than they actually weigh. It’s always nice to offset rotating mass/weight when you can!

Added a driver side “permanent” holster using heavy duty Velcro. My holstered CCW (Kahr CM9, currently) fits inside this larger holster so that the gun always remains in a safe condition while transferring. If I ever do need to draw, my gun holster fits in such a way that I’m able to pull the gun cleanly. I plan on only using this truck holster on abnormally long trips. My current truck gun setup is on body, as it should be.

Replaced all 3 u joints and my carrier bearing to eliminate this nasty rumble strip vibe I had. It was my first time doing u joints and it was pretty easy.

Here’s old vs old. You can see that one was in way worse shape than the others.

I'm just not a proponent of permanently leaving a gun in any vehicle. The most likely outcome will always be that someone breaks into the vehicle and steals it.

Oh well yeah, that’s a terrible idea. I think (hope) that that’s only for while driving. Personally I carry at the 4 o clock and drawing from a seated position with a seatbelt is difficult. If it were right next to my right leg like he has it, then it’d be a lot easier.

Edit: he even says it’s only for abnormally long trips
